역사적 배경 HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
한인생활상담소(Korean Community Service Center; 당시에는 Korean Community Counseling Center)는 1983년 8월 19일 동정심 많고 헌신적인 다섯 명의 여성에 의해 설립되었습니다: 박귀희 박사, 김 진 목사, 김 소니아 여사, 이지숙 여사, 윤승자 여사.
이들은 언어적, 문화적, 재정적 장벽에 직면한 신규 한인 이민자들을 위한 사회 서비스가 시급히 필요하다는 것을 깨달았습니다.
KCCC 설립 초창기에 이들 5명의 창립 멤버들과 한인 커뮤니티의 구성원들은 한국 최초의 여성 변호사이자 한국가정법률상담소 설립자인 고 이태영 박사로부터 영감을 받고 동기를 부여받았습니다.
사 명 Mission
KCSC's mission is to be a be a bridge for Korean immigrants and the wider Asian community to fully integrate into society and overcome economic, health, and linguistic barriers so that they become independent and thriving members of the community.
한인생활상담소의 사명은 한국 이민자들과 아시안 커뮤니티가 주류 사회에 완전히 통합되고 경제적, 건강 및 언어적 장벽을 극복하여 독립적이고 적극적인 커뮤니티의 일원이 될 수 있도록 가교 역할을 하는 것입니다.
